I just got a danish made Mb 30 to complement my 25, and i made some shots to show the difference in size.
The 30 has about the same girth as a modern 146 and the same size nib (6).
It just needed a new sack and a quick cleaning before it was ready to use, and it has a very nice and smooth nib.
They were made between 1935 and 1946.

The smaller one appears to have suffered some dis-colouration and/or fading, interesting effect though.

Yes the 30 is a little darker than the 25, maybe the 25 has been exposed to more light.

Yes you can really see it in the picture with the caps off.
The portion under the cap area when capped looks the same as the other pen but the exposed area markedly lighter.
I think the look grows on you.

I have seen the same thing on hardrubber pens.

Beautiful!
Just to confirm... In the pictures of vertical pens the 25 is on the right (with the slight coloration) -- correct?

Thanks.
Yes thatīs right.
I can add that the 25 is german made and the 30 is danish, the cap on the 30 tapers slightly whereas the cap on the 25 is straight, there are also differences in the size of the snowcaps, the germann made snowcaps are one size bigger, the danish 30 uses the same size as the german 25 and soforth (i got that from the book "montblanc in denmark-the untold story") by Claus Holten/Poul Lund.
