View Full Version : I wrote the president of Montblanc. They Wrote Back.

On the InCoWriMo website there is a list of people who you can write. I wrote to several of the people on that list. One of them was the president of Montblanc.

Montblanc EMAILED me back immediately. I did not give them my email address. I have shopped at the boutiques several times though. They are smart and cross referenced my name with their customer database! They had the boutique manager at the last boutique I shopped at write me back! How awesome is that! They also kindly informed me that Jan Patrick Schmitz is no longer the CEO. Mike Giannattasio has assumed that role now. (I think I wrote before the switch). In the email they requested my home address. Here's the letter I received back:

A one pound letter? That's a big letter!

Who Gift-wraps a letter?

That's Not a Letter!!

They sent a beautiful leather small folio, a CD of some classical music performed by Lang Lang , a small booklet and a hand written thank you from the Chicago Boutique manager Patrick Parkey.

I was absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity and awesomeness of this gift. I have to write a couple more letters thanking both the CEO and the Boutique Manager in Chicago!

(The 149 pictured was mine, they didn't sneak one in there)

I received a book and a gift card from Levenger once when I wrote to Steve Leveen, but your gift trumps that. Awesome!

Well, that is about 17 levels of wonderful. We can't expect all companies to have this level of customer valuation, but I'm glad it was rained upon such a good fellow. Congratulations!

Montblanc must have felt they needed to "one-up" the beautiful presentation of your InCoWrimo letters.
A well deserved response. Thanks for sharing.

That is a plus. And now I think I shall have to stop by that store now. Geez...they need to place this information in Google!!! I know where I am going next weekend.

The boutique is awesome. It was larger than the one in Detroit (which is now closed) and full of shiny things I wanted lol. I'll be going back soon to get a Boheme. My inner engineer can't get enough of the awesome mechanics of that pen. I want to go play with one first though......
