I own three "Cadence" pens. I purchased them at a Things Engraved store here in Calgary, Alberta. Things Engraved is a national chain of gift stores. I really love them but have been unable to find much info about them. I came across a short thread on FPN from 2011 (http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/185304-anyone-heard-of-cadence-pens/) but that's about it.
Would love feedback from the learned audience. More info in this blog post (http://inlovewithjournals.wordpress.com/2014/03/23/cadence-pens/).

The numbers are 1, 3 and 4. At first I thought these numbers spoke to the size of the nib but this short writing sample doesn't show much line variation, in my opinion. Please forgive my ignorance - what do the numbers mean?

Thanks for reading this and maybe helping me with this puzzle. :)
