Hi guys,
Just bought a Starwalker metal & rubber FP.
I was wondering if there are any converters that would fit in it.
MB says that it only takes short int. cartridges.
There must be another option… Right ?
Because I honestly can't see myself going back to cartridges. (Not that there's anything wrong with that…)

I have read the Faber-Castell converter works perfectly http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00439V75Q

Hi

Does a standard international converter not fit, the Starwalker has quite a long barrel does it not have enough room for a standard converter.

Here http://www.gouletpens.com/Standard_International_Cartridge_Converter_p/ed-converter.htm is one confirmation that a Schmidt converter works

So from that can we take it that a standard international converter will fit the Starwalker, that's how it reads to me ;)

The standard converter is too long. Even though the barrel on the star walker is long , it is quite tapered.
I read somewhere that the monteverde mini-converter would work… Fail.
I guess I can always refill my cartridges with my ink of choice, but I would much rather get this to work somehow.

I don't want to post a reference to another forum, but if you google it there are plenty of success stories from the converter I posted above.

Faber Castell converter works fine. I've been using one in my Cool Blue Starwalker for about 3 years.

Interesting,
I have an Emotion with a FC converter.
Fits into the section but unable to put the barrel on...
Its too long

I figured it out :)
Someone had put a second cartridge in the barrel at some point and it got logged in there quite well.
I had to use a pen light to see inside and forceps to pull it out.
Now the FC converter fits just fine

Thanks everyone !

Hi Paul

No a standard converter won't fit as it's too long for a StarWalker. I have also heard that the Faber-Castell convertor fits, but I don't have a StarWalker so I've never tried it.

You can also refill cartridges with syringes that are available from Goulets.

I have an original 2006 StarWalker and I have a Faber Castell converter for me to use bottled ink.

Hopefully this helps.
