View Full Version : Curious Pilot style long-short vintage Chinese pen on the bay

This is quite interesting, what looks like (but is not described as) a pair of old Chinese pens drawing heavy inspiration from the pocket pens Pilot used to make in the 60s and 70s.

They don't have that cheap look of modern manufacture Chinese pens, if I was after a pocket pen I'd probably be bidding right now!

The ad is very deceptive.


The pictures show two pens. The pen in the first five pictures is an old Platinum pocket pen from the 70's. The second one is likely a Chinese copy. It is unclear which pen is for sale.

I just saw this and find it curious. Indeed, two pens. One platinum squeezer, one unmarked with a brassed clip & bulb filler? and, it looks like it has no feed - like there is nothing below the breather hole.

Oooh, nice catch on the feed. I wonder how this will play out!
