4. ~SOLD~ to E.D.

Circa 1929 Sheaffer’s standard size Balance pen in black. This
first model of Balance pen is sometimes referred to as the “Long
Balance” model, because of the extra long tapered end of the barrel.
The ball of the clip has some typical brassing and the band has the
initials “G.M.” engraved in block capital letters on the backside. The
pen measures 5 5/8 inches or 14.4 cm. The nib is a very smooth writing
rigid Extra Fine 14K Lifetime. Overall this is a very nice example of
a first model Balance pen. Circa ‘37 Gruen Curvex wristwatch in the
photos is not for sale.

~SOLD~ to E.D. $165.00 shipping included in the U.S. Foreign shipping see
"Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

5. c. 1924 Waterman's No. 58 fountain pen in black chased hard
rubber. The pen has some moderate discoloration to the HR. The chasing
on the cap is very deep and distinct, but the barrel imprint and
chasing is worn and light. The nib was repaired by Greg Minuskin. The
nib is a smooth writing Flexible Medium 14K #8. It will make a double
broad line with light pressure. Capped the pen measures 6 inches or
15.2 cm. The cap is 5/8 inch in diameter. This is the next to the
largest pen that Waterman's made. I lightly hand polished the pen with
liquid polish to remove some of the oxidation. I re-shot the photos of
this pen to try and show the amount of discoloration a bit more
accurately.

Price further reduced to $675.00 shipping included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

some light ambering, as does the lower half of the cap. There is also
some blue staining on the barrel where the cap covers it and some blue
staining around the area of the cap bands. The nib is a very smooth
writing semi-flexible Extra Fine "Signature" 14K. Capped the pen
