Hey all.

I passed by an antique shop which was closed, and in the window was a pen marked "German Pen $20". The pen was in a plastic box, with a clear top and black bottom. The pen looked identical to a Lamy 2000--same clip, black barrel and cap, but the material appeared smooth rather than textured like a 2000, otherwise it was identical to the 2000.

Does anyone know of a pen that looks like this, or could it possibly be a 2000? I'm debating if I should drive up there again to take a look.

Did ti look like this Klamy 2000/ (http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/hunnyhunt/item/bauhaus2012_fp/)?

Or maybe the Lamy Studio? Lamy Studio (http://www.lamy.com/eng/b2c/studio/067_black)

Or the Lamy 25P? Lamy 25P FPN Review/ (http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/202570-lamy-25p/)

I can't think of a legitimate Lamy 2000 clone but that does not mean anything.

That Klamy 2000 is awful looking in my opinion...

...When I first bought my 2000 is was very textured but after 6 or so years of near daily use it is quite smooth in feel and appearance so its possible the antique store is selling a legit Lamy 2000.

Hey Jeph and Fawkes, thank you very much for your thoughts on this. The pen ended up being a Lamy 80 Profil. I got a Pelikan 20 Silvexa as part of the deal. Not too bad :)
