What ink(s) would you choose for the first inking of the following three pens and why?

Pilot Custom Heritage 91 with soft fine nib

Lamy 2000 with Pendleton Brown Butter Line Stub

TWSBI VAC 700 with Pendleton Brown fine Butter Line Stub with added Flex

I would pick a nice Iroshizuku for the Pilot. Probably Kon-peki or Ama-iro.

I'm feeling like a brown for the 2000. Noodler's Kiowa Pican or Omas Brown.

And for the Vac, a nice bright green. Levengers Always Greener or Noodler's Gruen Cactus.

That's funny, Dan. I was thinking brown for the Lamy 2000, too, something along the lines of that Waterman Toffee color that was discussed a few days ago. Maybe it's because of Pendleton Brown?

I like PR Purple for the Vac, though perhaps I shouldn't consider that they can stain the barrels. But if it is a smoke barrel, maybe that's not such a problem.

I completely agree with your choices for the Pilot. Especially the Kon-peki.

Agreed on the Pilot
Diamine Ancient Copper in the 2000, I like red browns
With the VAC since you went flexy. Apache Sunset. Nothing else seems to show flex contrast as well

Thank you for the feedback,

Kon Peki will be the first in the Pilot Custom Heritage 91.

When the Lamy and Vac 700 return from Pendleton I am leaning towards MB Toffee and Apache Sunset.

Be sure you LOVE whatever you put in the TWSBI Vac...it holds A LOT of ink!😛
