Hi all,

Sorry about the poor quality of the picture, but I just loaded up some pens, and wanted to post a quick look. I was hoping that this ink would be a close match for MB Leonardo Chalk Red, but that is not to be. I like the color a lot, nonetheless. It is a gusher, however, as my stubbed Jinhao shows.

Reminds me of Noodler's "Black Swan in English Roses", minus the shading. Nice quote, though.

This looks like the much-missed, late, great Sailor Jentle Red-Brown. Must order...

Like the hue of this red color.....not too bright and not too dark.....

Thanks for sharing this ink.....

I find the color very appealing. In fact, I like it better than the Mont Blanc and can easily see it being used in a professional setting.

Thanks for the comparison.

It's funny you should say it's a gusher as it looks like Diamine Oxblood which I find exhibits the same trait. Do you find it feathers on coarser fibre paper?

Love the color! I'm going to Kobe in two weeks - hope to find it there somewhere :)

Try the Nagasawa Pen shop. That's the shop for which the inks were made.

Thanks! Now that you mention it, I think I remember seeing it there last time I went, just didn't pay much attention because I was looking for a vintage pen with flex nib. Gonna check it out when I'm back :)

(Gonna go for the Montblanc daVinci, though, if I can still find it! haha)

Is it similar to Diamine Oxblood?

I've not actually tried Diamine Oxblood, but judging from scans, I would say the #39 has more of a brown component than Oxblood.
