I just purchased a nice mirrored Plexiglas display stand from Pendemonium and decided it would work well to show off my collection of Sheaffer sub-brand fountain pens. In comparison to some of the "serious collectors" here, it's pretty modest, but I've had a lot of fun picking up these attractive and colorful pens for not a lot of money.

From left to right:

Wasp "The Clipper", green "Screaming Souls in Purgatory" (Birdseye) celluloid
Wasp Clipper, green "Circuit Board" pattern
Vacuum-Fil, silver/black lizard pattern
Wasp "The Clipper", black/silver "Lahn" pattern
Vacuum, black/gold "Lahn" pattern
Wasp Addipoint, green ? pattern
Wasp Addipoint, black & silver, with blue streaks
Wasp Addipoint, green & black
Wasp Addipoint, red & black
Wasp Addipoint, black

Not displayed is another Wasp Clipper in black/silver "Lahn", a Vacuum-Fil in Marine Green, and a Vacuum in the green "Screaming Souls in Purgatory" pattern, all in need of repair/refurbishing.

Those are very nice. I collect Wasp Clippers myself, but only semi-seriously. It looks like you might have replated all the trim, perhaps. Do you do that yourself?

That is a great group. And it shows why I often think that the sub-brands are better finds.
They offer great looks at a great value with frequently no loss in quality.

Thanks, Laura.

No replating. Several have significant brassing but it doesn't show up well on the photo.

Well, here be a wee bit. The twist-sac (ouch!) sub-brand Sheaffers are relatively uncommon.

Very nice, David. I'm still looking for a gray "Screamer" And those twist-sac versions are pretty cool!
