You may not like its soft, thin characteristics. It may not shade quite like Rhodia or Clairefontaine. But India paper is neck and neck with Bagasse/sugarcane as my personal favorite....

And since paper from India is usually fountain-pen friendly AND inexpensive (just back from a dollar store with an armful), does anyone know why?

Is it the fiber content? The manufacturing process? The finish?

Any experts, please chime in! Conjecture welcome, too.

Thanks.

Paper that's made in India. You can find it in all forms at Dollar Tree, and probably elsewhere in the form of composition notebooks.
