I found this naval Seal of His Majesty's Ships wax seal yesterday. The only thing that I can date it by is that it's His majesty not Her majesty. Can anyone give me more information? This should give some gravitas to my snail mail. :)

I think that is really cool I know it is an ensign the Royal Navy use a white one and the Merchant navy a red one as far as I know,
Nice find.

Well you have plenty of choice!

Unlikely I suppose to be George IV or William IV, I would say (William IV died in 1837) so either Edward VII (1901 -1910) or George V (1910 -1936) with a possibility of George VI (1937 - 1952)!

The flag, ensign, design has been used since the early 1800's. Giving military regulations, there should be something stating when it started and stopped being used.
