It's been a while since I updated the news about the new WAHL-EVERSHARP Company activities, so here is a quick recap of current events:
The WAHL-EVERSHARP Company prepares to celebrate the 100th anniversary since the names WAHL and EVERSHARP came together in 1915. That occurred when Charles Keeran, credited with inventing the first practical mechanical pencil, was directed by the Elgin Machine Tool Company to the WAHL Adding Machine Company in Chicago, IL,to see their machine turning equipment in operation. Although the story is a fascinating one, and can be addressed another day, the result was that WAHL began to produce the EVERSHARP Pencil, first as a contractor, and later as the owner of the EVERSHARP Brand.

The Celebration kicks off with the release of the 100 Year Pens:
Continuing the rich history of "Machine Turned (Guilloche) WAHL-EVERSHARP pens, below is the Very Limited Edition SkyScraper Pen in Rose Gold and Yellow Gold Plate with Sapphire blue Derby and Section

This pen will be limited to 100 Fountain pens and 30 Roller Ball Pens, each with its unique number engraved.

There will be some "unlimited" edition 100 Year Pens too:
Below is the Celluloid and Resin Black and Pearl 100 Year Pen that comes with 18K Solid Gold 2-tone Double Check Nib (not yet installed on the prototypes in these photos), and is a True Piston Filler with permanent tail piece filler actuator.

Thanks! We are working hard. 2015 will be the year we add the Revitalized/Modernised Dorics. Here is a first working sketch

Don't sweat the number of facets that's wrong but will get corrected alomg with a few other details. How do we get from here to there? If we are successful in selling our Skylines it all goes to funding the production of the Dorics. Hint Hint.

Wow, the Doric back! A dream come true. One of my favourite pens.

If only a real vintage Parker nut would take over that company and work the same magic!

The Barrel tail is permanently positioned and attached to a permanently installed internal piston. The tail is twisted in place to fill and expel. We say "Lefty Empty, Righty Writey©"

There are so many elements to talk about on the new WAHL-EVERSHARP™ pens that its hard to cover them all in short post bursts, so something else was maybe not posted before. As with all of our line Custom Orders for nib variations are always available. We just filled one special order batch for a our new dealer in the Philippines for some Fine/Italic semiflex nibs in standard metal and 14K gold, as swap-outs for nibs in pens in his order. We usually have a few of these nibs ready to go in stock but since these nibs are customized for us on order, it may take a few weeks to get this done sometimes.

How much will the very limited skyline retail for? It's so beautiful - great work by the designers.
