manoeuver

A while back I gave up on flexy nibs on my pens. Now I think that was a mistake.
As a lefty, writing normally (for me) meant a flexy nib wasn't much use as I'm pushing it all the time.
But that's only if I'm following the rules. I don't have to do that.
Dragging my hand through what I write messes things up a lot of the time. I can let it get me down, or I can make it part of my personality on the page.
Calligraphy is typically beautiful, fluid, elegant. It's in the etymology.
It doesn't have to be. When I make a blank page otherwise, it ain't wrong unless I say it is.
Calligraphy can be sinister. I can live with that.
I started to realize this when I made my Edison giveaway submission the other day... an excerpt:

It ain't pretty. That's fine. Why not run with it? At first I described it as deranged, which isn't inaccurate- I think sinister is a more appropriate term though.
I'll put some stuff up as it hits the page. love to have feedback.
thanks!
