Late 1920s/early 1930s Jade Sheaffer 3-25 Flat Top:
Sheaffer 3-25 slender, full-length flat top pen in their famous "Jade" emerald color. This is the darker shade of Jade and the color on this pen is still very good. There are a couple darker areas, as seen in the pictures, but overall this color is certainly better than the vast majority of these pens. Hardware has modest brassing overall, mostly on the ball of the clip. Barrel has some small cracks/crazing around the threads, but these are stable and have not grown larger in the several years I have owned the pen. Some celluloid age shrinkage around the top of the cap, but no cracking there. Pen fills and writes. Tip is a 14k 3-25 Sheaffer in firm fine. Feed is the original "flat" bottom type with large fins. Has the usual small scratches/desk wear for a pen its age in the celluloid. Imprint is quite good as well.
Really a nice example of Sheaffer Jade that you can still use without worrying about damaging a high dollar, collector pen. Also more affordable than most good, Jade pens.
$75 shipped in the lower 48
