I got a pen today, it has a friction fit generic M nib but I'd like a 1.1 italic. Is it possible to source a nib that would fit this pen. I assume I would need to measure the diameter of the feed to get the right sized nib. Thanks

Jowo or Bock usually fit just fine. This looks like a China made nib, which means the German feed may not fit properly. But most likely you can keep the feed and just swap nibs. #5 - 5 mm feed, #6 - 6 mm. Worst case is that a little heat setting or nib manipulation is needed.

Thanks, I'll measure the feed and get around to finding a nib.

Yes, and yes. If it's a #6, you have several options, including http://meisternibs.com/steel-nibs/ , Goulet Pens, and others, I'd expect. Meisternibs has the #5 as well. If it's a #4, then I don't know where to get one.
