I can pass on these colors for now, but I do appreciate Diamine's naming. Autumn Oak is a great name, and Tyrian Purple is an established name (so the only issue is whether or not you think they nailed it).

More of an autumn chestnut, really. Oak leaves dry to a more neutral brown.

There are quite a few different types of oak trees, and even the weather has an effect on the actual color. No color will be universal, but I think if you'll look into it, you'll see that the color is actually a very reasonable choice.

I especially like Tyrian Purple. I wonder how it compares to Diamine Merlot.

Autumn Oak looks lovely as well. It reminds me a bit of Noodler's Habanero or Iroshizuku Fuyu-gaki.

I was thinking the same. I use Merlot a lot. In my 1.1 twsbi stub it produces such fantastic shading...

Thank you for posting the writing sample. I have just received both inks and I think your photo is true to the actual colours.

I really like Autumn Oak; I thought it be illegible, however with the right pen, it is a great colour. Tyrian Purple is nice, too.

I have never heard of that paper before, Migo984. Where is from?

I have Iroshizuku Fuyu-gaki and Autumn Oak; they are very different colours. Fuyu-gaki is much more of a red-orange, whereas Autumn Oak is more golden-orange with yellow undertones.

Wow. That Autumn Oak caught my eye. Looks like another item added to the ever growing list. I usually switch things around in relation to the seasons and I'm investigating my fall options. Perhaps this ink in a Delta Dolcevita... I wonder. Thanks for the post!
