Hi all,
I just received this 40 pen case from Franklin Christoph. It was advertised as black nappa leather, having 40 double looped pen holders and two flaps to protect the pens when the case is closed.

Here is what it looked like when removed from the box. The leather is soft to the touch, the stitching is perfect, and the wonderful smell of leather emanated from the box before opening.

Here is a photo of it opened with the protective flaps shown. The flaps are a nice soft material that will not scratch my pens. The flaps are stitched in so that they will not become separated from the case. In my opinion this is a design plus.

The photo below shows the flaps drawn back so you can see the pen loops. I like that there are two loops for each pen.

Finally, here are a few shots of the case filled with pens. There is one open slot for a MB 334 1/2 that did not make it into the photo as it was out for repairs. When putting the pens in the case I found the loops to be quite tight. I know they will stretch out over time, but i did like that they started out tight. The backing boards that the loops are attached to are slightly padded. This gives a positive impression when sliding the pens into their loops because it feels as if the pens will be cushioned and protected.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I bought it because my 32 pen box came apart at the seams. The shipping for the new case was fast and the customer service from Franklin-Christoph was excellent. The price of the case was 125.00 USD and the shipping was free. I would definitely recommend this case. Here are two more photos of my Montblanc collection in its new home.

Wow thats really nice. I love that it has a cover for each side instead of going the cheaper route where theres a single protector running down the middle. It's just one more example of the level of quality they have at F~C. After recently getting a Penvelope Six I have to agree that they really know how to make a fantastic case that you can trust any pen in.

And... wow what a collection you have put into that case !! :hail:

I have two "old style' F-C cases that are very nice, but I impatiently wait for the new case to buy one (it seems to me, however, that they lost their 'vintage' look !)

Nice case. When I bought my first case, I was gonna buy the 40 but I didn't think I'd need it. So I bought a 20. I just bought another 20.
