Just snapped a few more shots today, not up to the standards of other folks here but I hope they give you an idea of how lovely this pen is!

Love that nib. I also like how the knife says "stainless steel" nice little detail.

Gorgeous.

What size nib? What do you have inked in it currently?

Will you acquire some of the Hitchcock ink to go with it?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Its a medium nib, but unlike my 149 which is also a medium it writes like a true medium, the 149 writes more like a broad. Funny you should ask about ink! Only this afternoon did I change from Hitchcock red to Auroral black.

I love the Hitchcock red but I am being sparing with it as I only have one bottle and it is a limited run. Mind, the pen writes wonderfully with the Aurora ink as well!

Great pictures! The black and white shots look so appropriate.

Ian, I hope you're never forced to make a film depicting you having to stab someone to death with that pen. That would be troubling.

Thanks Ivan. Manoeuver, I hope so too! I watched Vertigo tonight in honour of the pen which is more in my line than psycho!

The detail silhouette of Hitchcock on the nib is fantastic. Thanks for sharing the pics!

BEAUTIFUL!
I had no idea that Hitchcock's famous silhouette was engraved onto the nib.
That butcher knife clip is awesome. Love that stainless steel stamp! LOL

Thanks Folks.
Mellisa, the funny thing with the clip saying Stainless Steel is that it is in fact silver! I love the font they use for it though as it looks 1950's I think. Filled it with Aurora black this weekend and it looks wonderful coming from this pen.
The engraving on the barrel and cap band is what was written on one of the film canisters used in psycho. I love the attention to detail and I hope you get an idea how deep the engraving of the resin is with these pictures.

I love the font they use for it though as it looks 1950's I think.

Not only is it 1950's, but it almost shouts 'old typewriter'.

(mumbling) ... lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil, no, Montblanc fountain pens ...

You nailed it Peter. I will try to get a better close up of it as it as they have not only got the font right but they also have that slight unevenness of letters that a mechanical typewriter gives.

Oh, and by your comments, you can mumble all you like, I have a feeling eventually you will succumb to Hitchcock madness :)

Thanks so much Dan, I am really loving writing with it. Wonderful to have a pen that not only looks wonderful but writes that way as well. And, yes, Eric has seen it!

That's good! My next question: When can we expect to receive it for an Awesome Review? ;-)

You know, If i were living in the US I would send it to you both in a heartbeat as your mail system is so much better and safer than up here! Not to mention customs and such! I wish you both to get to try it though. I think you would love writing with it!

You're a very generous man for even considering letting it out of your possession. Eric actually has written with it. One of the boutiques near to him had one. I, on the other hand, may never write with one.

Ahh, Dan, never say never mate. You would be amazed how things can come together when you least expect it. I thought the same as you only a couple of weeks ago, now look! And heck, if It happens to me it can happen to anyone!
