Montblanc Frankenpen and I´m very hapy with it. Guess why?

Let me guess...
This is a wartime Montblanc 333 1/2 that had a really cool steel nib.
But then you found out the nib was corroded.
Since these nibs don't grow on trees you had to wait until you found a compatible nib.
You finally found one that fits (but I can't identify)

Jeph is almost correct about what makes me happy, and Carlos is almost correct about the pen Model.

The pen is a 334 1/2 WWII period and has a wrong nib for the pen and it is a huge heart hole 35 nib. I am happy not just because the heart hole but because it is a huge 35 heart hole safety nib!!

This heart hole nib is used in Montblanc 35 Safeties and lever fillers and is truly rare. It´s just a pity I don't have the pen to go with it! :)

Carlos: 3 1/2 non corroded nibs are hard to find but this one is much harder. By the way, I´m still looking to find one ;)

Some Frankenpens are really nice to find!

That is a very cool pen! I also have a wartime 334 1/2 though it has the usual 4 1/2 steel nib. It is a great writer as I am sure yours will be with that special nib. Congrats!

I believe the nib is not original to the pen. It is much larger than the 4 1/2. Also, the pen is dated from the WWII period and the nib is probably 20 years "younger". Tthe section and feed from the 334 1/2 would not be able to fit this 35 nib and so, someone very skilled ( most probably in a aftermarket repair), most probably machined the section to enlarge it and used a 136 feed and adapted the nib to the 334 1/2 WWII pen because the owner wanted a gold nib. I ended up being lucky and thankful for the good taste the original owner of the pen has had back in the days.

By the way, last year I also bought a Danish made Montblanc 206 that come with a 235 nib. This 235 is the nib used in the later push button MB fillers.

That nib is incredible! Congrats on such a nice Frankenpen. I especially love the wartime MBs.
