The Guy wanted $5 for it, tried to talk down to $2, but he was pretty firm at $5 (He also had a Sheaffer Student Pen with a clean empty slim cartridge, some unbranded celluloid pen and a dip pen that he wanted $15 for 4 but half the lot seemed too far gone).

I initially had it inked with Diamine Imperial blue but that was a little too wet, so decided to give the Sheaffer Red sample a try since their inks tend to be a little more on the dry side.

Otherwise seems to be fine. Thinking bout reselling it anyways the huge feed is kind of weird to keep my fingers away from, it's almost like it's the Parker 21's ugly little brother.

The impression is still on the barrel pretty nicely just not chalked had a date code of 50 surrounded by 3 dots. (they only ran from 1950 to 1952, unsuccessfully apparently)

Got it polished up, cleaned up, etc. Surprisingly the sac was still ok. When I checked under the 60x loupe a tiny portion of the right tipping seems to have chipped off which looked almost like a baby bottom under the 20x. Since the tipping was pretty large I did some aggressive smoothing so that least at normal writing angle it would be fine. Can't write upside down or at a high 90 degree angle, but anything lower seems decently smooth.

:P Just not crazy about that feed, my finger tends to get close to it. I might resell it cheap after I get some photographs of it taken in the collection or alongside the P51... or I might just keep it for prosperity... not sure yet. Certainly ain't bad for $5.
