Hi, i am selling a Montblanc 146 from the 1960s, a rare transitional model that came between the celluloid 1950s models and the modern resin ones. it has been freshly serviced weeks ago by the master repairman Francis Goosens, maker of the CONID Bulkfiller, and the piston operates wonderfully. The ink window is blue tinted, nice and clear.

The ergonomics of the pen are flawless. It is light, but not too light. The pen balance is great posted or unposted, and the girth is slightly less than the modern 146, which makes it much more manageable, imho, for most people.

The cap, celluloid, screws on flawlessly. The pen has a fine, springy 14C nib, same as the 1950's telescopic fillers. It writes wonderfully, which is to be expected since Francis adjusted and tuned it. The feed is grooved and solid ebonite. The pen body is in excellent condition, with minimal usage marks. The cap is celluloid, as can be seen from the ivory-colored star. Sadly, one of the points of the star has been stained with something and the cap top has some pictured marks, but otherwise, there are no other major flaws on this beautiful pen.

More information on the 1960s transitional 146 can be found here:
