Just introducing myself and some of my custom pens. The wood in the pens (left to right and front to back) are olive wood, spalted signature wood, and black ash burl.
Two of the pens have some gilding and patination applications.
Nibs are two #5 and the larger pen is #6.
I have been making mostly kit pens for the last few years but have moved into the custom world of pen making. Thanks for looking. Mike

Words fail. Those are exquisite, mike. The brass rod work on the finials is incredible. (hmmm…are you also a knife maker, by chance?)

Thanks for the compliments.

Ken, No I am not currently a knife maker but it interests me very much. I've been a long time woodworker but have been turning for only a few years. What a whole new world it has opened up. So many things I would like to venture into.

I do have some pens out there in the electronic world. However, I just started doing custom fountain pens a few months ago and don't have many of those to see yet. If interested I have a Facebook page. Thanks

Thanks for all the kind words. I am currently working on another wood pen that I hope to have complete by Sunday.
Yes, Catherine, I have a facebook page under the name Great Smoky Mountain Pen. I have a web site under the same name but it is not kept up to date very well. The facebook page is very current. Thanks for asking.

Your pens are beautiful, would you make the acorn wood in a fountain pen?

Thanks for the comments. I can make an acorn fountain pen. I think I would have to use brass tubes in the pen to provide more stability. Or, I could just use what's called a kit pen and modify it some.

Beautiful pens! I've turned some kit pens and it looks like you've taken it to a higher level. I have some Ancient Kauri wood that is pretty wild. Let me know if you would like some blanks.

Thanks for the comments and the generous offer. Wild wood usually makes for nice pens. I'll send a PM. THANKS
