I wonder if there are some Lamy experts out there who may be able to help me with this pen.
It has a frosted cap with the engraving "LAMY 69". It has a brushed-metal barrel, with a black plastic jewel with a capital "L" on the end.
It's a cartridge-filler with a steel LAMY nib, photos below
My question is, is this a mismatched cap and pen? I recently bought it, and subsequently sold it on an auction site. The buyer is suggesting (without any evidence other than the difference in finishes) that it is not a 69 pen. I've refunded him, and he's sending the pen back, but I would just be interested to know the facts
Thanks
John

Looks like a mismatched Lamy 69 cap on a Lamy 25p...

Thanks for the reply, I have since sold it with the condition that I could not guarantee it was not a mismatch.

...and I have yet to see a '69'. Couldn't find anything about it, but found lots of references to the 25p.

I've been looking at 25Ps and I think you are right. Also I found a few bits and pieces about 69s, enough to learn that they are piston fillers, whereas my pen was a C/C. Good to have it resolved at last! Thanks
