Aurora 88P
For sale is a Aurora 88P. I am surprised in how great condition this pen is in, it looks brand new! But of course, it is a vintage pen, probably 50+ old now, more than twice my age! Because of the condition it is in, I believe this pen was rarely used and probably stored away gift.
Piston Filler works great, transparent ink window (see picture), holds a good amount of ink.
Barrel made of celluloid, piston nob and section made of ebonite.
Fine-sized gold nib. Some Aurora 88’s are flexy, this is not. But you can get some line variation from it, I would classify it as springy, like a modern Lamy 2000 nib.
Very shiny and classy pen. It looks a lot like a parker 51, but to me this is far more stylish.
Silver-toned cap (not sure of what material), vertical lines running through the cap. This cap has engraving saying “Florentine”, hard to see unless you really look for it.
On section it says: Aurora 88P, 3112665 (serial number)
