New Sailor Kobe inks - just received from Japan

Arrived in the post this morning, two bottles of special edition Kobe inks: Monet Violet and Van Gogh Cobalt.

Here's a quick writing sample of the Monet Violet, together with a picture of the box and bottle.
The ink is Sailor's usual high quality, nicely saturated, smooth and with beautiful shading.

I'll post a picture of the Van Gogh Cobalt later.

I haven't tested them for water resistance as that's not important to me for inks,so I never worry about it. I'll test them later today and let you know.

I order my Kobe inks from cool-japan (Atsu) on eBay. He's great.
These 2 are limited editions. I think he's sold out of the cobalt at the moment and there's only 1 left of the violet.

What is the water resistance of these inks?

I've tested the inks for water resistance & these are the results after 2 mins under running water - so not really resistant as you can see.


But I don't care that Van Gogh cobalt lacks water resistance because of the beautiful pink-red sheen of the ink.... ....

Although the cobalt is not waterproof it seems to have decent water resistance.
