View Full Version : PIF: Sailor Yama-Dori

Well, I was lucky enough to win a bottle of ink, so I'd like to PIF a bottle of ink to someone else.

I have a nearly new bottle of Sailor Yama-dori, which is a very nice deep teal blue, recently released by Sailor. I think this even has sheen.

You can read about it, and see swabs, here (http://www.jetpens.com/Sailor-Fountain-Pen-Jentle-Ink-50-ml-Four-Seasons-Yama-dori-Copper-Pheasant-Teal/pd/12274) and here (http://fpgeeks.com/forum/showthread.php/6239-FYI-Sailor-Ink-Fans?p=75268&viewfull=1#post75268).

It's a beautiful ink. I've used only one fill. I should pass this along to someone who will use it more.

I will pay postage in the Continental US for whoever wins. I am sorry to have to limit it to the US, but overseas shipping is so expensive it's not really worth it with something heavy like ink.

Rules: enter by posting here. I will pick the winner at random next Friday, the 24th, using one of those internet gizmos or having someone pick a number between one and X, whichever seems more fun at the time. It's open to everyone in the Continental US. Whether you have a little ink, or a lot of ink, no matter: if you'd like this ink, enter. Because I'd like to give it to someone who wants it.

One little twist: I will give people with at least twenty (real) posts a total of two entries. (Why? Because contributing is fun, for writers and readers alike. No need to hang back; I hardly make sense most of the time, and I post.) One week should be plenty of time to get some posts in. And if you have fewer than 20 posts, no problem: you still get an entry. :)

INK???!!!??? I need more ink like I need a brass-plated, Proconnesian-marble barreled Parker 51.

However, I would like to be the person who picks the random number. I could do it, I just know it.

I feel really bad about that, too. But I shipping overseas by USPS is very expensive now, and this is a heavy item. I am really sorry. I'll try to find something else later to PIF that I could ship anywhere.

You are welcome, but sorry, my PIF, my rules: you qualify for two. :)

Good idea! You're on.

Now that looks like a beautiful ink and this is a generous PIF. Please count me in! **

** (but only if you agree that USPS shipping to Puerto Rico is the same cost as shipping CONUS). ;)

After years of avoiding blue ink, I am looking for some blues to use, and this would be a great one to use. Thanks for the chance.

I'm brand new to this forum, but recently acquired an entry-level dip fountain pen and it only came with two small bottles of ink (one black, one blue). I would love to be able to add this ink to my collection! Count me in, if you can, please!

All right, thank you to everyone who's entered. I'm going to close the entries here. I have the list all set up, and Jon and I shall randomly pick the winner later today and post the name here.
