I'm hoping someone on here can help me identify what I found at an antique store today for $15 USD.

It's a black fountain pen with a black stand:
14725

Here is pen nib:
14726

Here is the internals of the pen:
14727
14728

And lastly, here are a couple images of the bottom of the base, which is hard to make out:
14729
14730

I'm certain I did not find anything earth-shattering, but I'd like to know what I found nonetheless.

Thank you!
Robert

Also, how does this pen get filled? I've not seen a fountain pen like this before...

It's a Sheaffer pen in an Esterbrook base (a mismatch). The pen uses the Touchdown filling system; it will almost certainly need repair if you intend to use it; among other things, you've broken the seal where you unscrewed it. Here's some info on the Touchdown system (http://www.richardspens.com/?fillers=fillers).

Thank you Daniel - I appreciate the information on the stand, pen, and filling system. For $15, I was going to be very pleasantly surprised if it worked anyway. Knowing what kind of filling system is nice, though.

Sheaffer "dolphin" desk pen barrel I think.

So I got the pen home, inked it up with some Chesterfield Night Sapphire, and it writes SO smoothly! It didn't hesitate - writes clean, no skipping or anything! I'm very impressed, actually, that it wrote right off the bat like that!
