I have always enjoyed the Spencerian style of drawing images. I am not able to draw like this, yet. Maybe some day. So, I used my experience with machine tools to program and draw this. It was made on my milling machine with a Lamy Safari with a medium nib mounted in it. I used my favorite ink, Noodler's Bay State Blue. You will recognize this image from a Spencerian drawing and learning book from the late 1800's. Once I get a good handle on the Spencerian style I have group of images that I want to do and frame.

I've never seen drawing like that before or heard of Spencerian drawing. Thanks for sharing - that looks fantastic. How long does it take to program such a thing?

I didnt keep track but I think it was about 20 hours to draw it up on the computer then a hour or so to program and debug.

Wow! that is a lovely image. I'd never thought of a Lamy Safari as a machine tool before!

wow, impressive. I never thought of using a machine to draw. I got to go bug the mechies to teach me how to use the milling machine now.
