Sometimes the pics just seem to work. I shot this pair of 1930s Sheaffer Balance fountain pens-- pens with the vaunted off-catalogue double decorative cap-band. The special cap-band Balances are a niche interest of mine. Posted it at my Facebook group and was pleasantly surprised that it received disproportionate interest. Maybe the colors. Who knows? I figured I'd share it here.
Both pens date to the early 1930s. One is long-standard, the other short-standard, what collectors often call stubby.
Both are not so easy to find.
