Please tell me that they will migrate that color combo to the smaller models if I just have patience

I hope they bring this to the 600 and 400 lines as well. The 800 is just too heavy for my dainty little lady hands, and the cost is was more than I want to pay. But this is just classy, classy, classy looking. Would love one in the 400 size! (perfect size pen, perfect)

If there's enough demand I'm sure this colour will be available in smaller sizes, just don't hold your breath cos Pelikan is notorious for keeping the suspense for too long. I initially thought this was gonna be in M400 size, it'd be nice to pair with my grey 400. Old and new. Close, but no cigar for Tony. I've also wanted the WE Balzac but I wasn't quite sure about its tapered piston grip ("blind" cap), so I'm glad this colour came along.

I'll update the pics as soon as I got one in February. I thought I was gonna keep all these infos for myself, but I kept thinking of my fellow FPGeeks :)

I would love to see it in the 600 size, but I'd also be okay with the 400 size. It's a lovely, elegant color. Would be perfect with Herbin Stormy Grey or Diamine Silver Fox…

That is pure class. However I want a blue pen so the m805 is on my to buy list but if your looking for a pen that isn't plain black, look no further

have they stated it is going to be a standard colour or a limited edition like the tortoise?

On the web site it's not under SE, so it's standard colour. The availability of the RB and BP pretty much confirms it as well.http://www.pelikan.com/pulse/Pulsar/en_US_INTL.FWI.displayShop.203919./souveraen-805-stresemann

The newer M805 blue will come with monotone Rhodium nibs. Unless you can get a bargain on the older bitone nib, I'd wait if I were you..

Me too, but sorry mate.. they are only available in EF, F, M, B. Or through special order S nib..

I'm gonna use this one as a jotter, so I ordered the EF..

I'm absolutely getting one of these. I love the single tone rhodium nib and may pick up an extra nib for my blue M805. I wouldn't be that heart broken if this didnt come to the smaller sizes. They seem to get all the fun colors anyway.

Not sure if I misread but that nib on a blue M805 and just take my money. It's amazing.

If you wanted a subtle pen but not plain this is just the ideal pen and the 800 size is perfect

It is to the black M800 what the chalk-stripe suit is to the black one.

I told myself and my lovely wife that I'm going to stick to vintage pens because most modern pens don't interest me. I have a small collection of modern and vintage Pelikan's. I'm hoping someone buys one with a fine nib and hates it so much that they want to sell it to me cheap.

I believe Dan has a blue M805 with bitone nib and he wanted a swap. But for those who are still looking to buy, starting next year the monotone rhodium nib comes as standard.

Previously, rhodium nibs in 800 size were only available to Gaudi LE and M910 Black-silver Toledo.

I was planning to get the latter in 2015 (set completistism problem), but nothing kills the appetite more than a big catch. A lesson learnt this year, kept for the next. Not to mention much easier on the wallet too.

My one resolution this year was grail pens only! That is right up my alley.

I'm sure Classic Fountain Pens (nibs.com) will be getting a supply. I'm springing for a fine nib cut to stub by the estimable Mr. Mottishaw.

Change of plan. I am getting an F instead. Anything other than F or M would have to wait for the second batch. Personally, I really don't care about point sizes anymore, so F it is.

I received the UPS tracking number from Pilar of IguanaSell last evening. It should be here next week, I'll post a pic or two by then. Cheers.

Just a heads-up, we are accepting pre-orders for the Stresemann (http://fpgeeks.com/product/pelikan-m805-stresemann/). We were told the US launch was delayed until mid-March with most orders being fulfilled sometime in April, but we did get notice that a single pen with a medium nib is making its way to us and should arrive early next week.

Preordered mine from John Mottishaw at the LA Show, being able to show him the exact grind I wanted in person.
Whether it arrives in February (looking unlikely,) or April, I am not concerned. I have many pens to hold me over until this one arrives, but I am excited!

My bank account should be safe as long as they don't offer it in the M600. Until then I will just have to drool over other people's.

On one thread you read really nice advice for begginers on holding up your buys, take it slow with pen acquisition etc and then you see a pen like this...How can one hold up ??
This is a very beautiful pen.

Me too. Sigh. Oh sigh. I adore the grey stripey loveliness. But the M800 is just a tad too large for me. Then again, I did eventually break down and spring for the M800 Tortie so I may end up with this pen after all. I have no self-restraint.
