I am very happy to share with all of you that the Wines from Portugal's Douro Valley claimed three of the top four places in Wine Spectator's 2014 top 100 ranking. This is the most respected wine ranking in the world.
My family is from the Douro region and I have spent great summer holidays there when I was growing up. Apart from the best wine in the world, the landscape is breathtaking specially in September and October when all the Valley with the River Douro on the bottom is covered with copper colour vine leafs.
