@jbb I've been having a true nightmare trying to get the MobilLink app to actually work.
New 06:37
jbb, wow, you have quite a setup there. Very cool.
New 06:37
It took 6 months for them to even get it to connect with my generator and I still find things that simply don't work
New 06:38
the generator works jess fine. Power off gen on.
New 06:38
easy peassie
New 06:38
but the app really sucks
New 06:39
Our Generac is fully automatic and tests itself once a week. If the power goes out it goes on if a few seconds
New 06:40
that part works
New 06:40
what is the MobilLink then?
New 06:40
it's their software that sucks
New 06:41
the MobilLink is an app that tells you about the state
New 06:41
the state of your generator or Texas?
New 06:41
things like battery condition, service dates, lets you schedule the exercise without going to the unit
New 06:42
Texas grip sucks big time
New 06:42
No need of an app to know that
New 06:50
It's supposed to get to 107 here Thursday..... that's 41.6667 C for most of you
New 06:54
we're in a relative cold spell here
New 06:54
INeedaFinancialAdvisor: We are in a fairly rural setting. We can SEE one neighbor and hear a few more.
New 06:54
That sounds nice jar.
New 06:55
mid to high 90s/hgh 30s C
New 06:55
Yesterday is was only in the 80s and windy. It was lovely.
New 06:55
we're expecting super hot here too - It's supposed to go to 88F (31C) on Sunday. hahah
New 06:55
and they are already asking folk to conserve power between 4 and 7 each night
New 06:55
but 107F ??? that shouldn't be legal
New 06:56
I agree Ole
New 06:57
I finally fixed the kids computer that had issues
New 06:58
I installed a virtual Win 10 box to run Photoshop for him.
New 06:58
that's great!
New 06:59
Photoshop works great but it's taking ages to update the damn win 10

41C eh?… I’ve seen (and felt) 41C… what will your humidity be?… as long as its <20% its …”tolerable” i guess is the word i would use…
New 07:34
Apparently, according to historical records (i had to google it) the highest ive seen/experienced is about 45C during the day, and 25C at night.(of the same day) with no clouds. At all. None.
New 07:34
The humidity is very low here when it's that hot.
New 07:36
Well, in my limited experience, that makes it “tolerable” i guess, especially if you can find some shade
New 07:36
By shade, do you mean indoors with the A/C on? because that's my plan
New 07:37
wel, thats IDEAL, but when i was experiencing it, there was SOME time with AC, but a lot of the time it was simply the shade provided by a canvas tent.
New 07:37
New 07:38
personally, i would much rather be in 41C with VERY low humidity, than in 33C with 98% humidity (i went from one to the other in the space of a coupel days, and trust me, for me, the humidity was unbearable)
New 07:39
true
New 07:40
But that was almost 12 years ago now. Closest since then was in 2013?…14?.. can’t remember anymore, when i visitied texas/new mexico for 2 or 3 weeks in july(i think…)
New 07:40
there was a significant difference even back in the mid 60s between summer on the US East Coast south and Phoenix.
