The link doesn’t work but somewhere deep in my memory I remember seeing something about Olivine around the time Smoky Quartz was released. Looking forward to seeing real world samples.
Yes, the link doesn't work.
Olivine is also Monteverde's olive green ink!
2018 Ink of the Year will be indeed an olive-green. They have announced it in May 2017. The contest was won by someone residing in Cologne.
Here is a working link: https://thepelikansperch.com/2018/01...-2018-olivine/
I remember the competition result being announced. It’ll be interesting to compare it to the GvFC Olive Green released last autumn.
Reminds me of diamine ever green, which I like. Not sure it matches the pink al-star
This is right up at the top of my preferred green colour range. I will be buying it!
Ah, yes, I remember the voting. It looks rather promising, I must say; shall probably be the queue right behind you, Cap'n. A companion M2xx might be very hard to resist too. Oh dear.
The link doesn't work for me either, (even when I delete the "s" in https) but I remember the competition for the next colour. I also remember thinking that it might be one I would like. :)
Maybe this works?

I’m not a green person. However, Olivine looks fantastic. I have a bottle of Dark-green that changed my opinion of green ink.
I love green inks in the olive category. This makes me look forward to the Pelikan Hub even more this year! :)
Hopefully- we will see a matching 2xx Pen!

This one will have to make it into my collection.
Writing samples yet?
Anticipation!
Let's hope it not too washed out.
It might be very much like the recently added GvFC Olive Green.
I love the GvFC Olive Green. Not a saturated ink by a long way, but so subtle and vintage in appearance. The Edelstein is likely to be similar in behaviour as they aren’t usually overly saturated inks. Maybe, looking at the pre-release publicity shots, it might be closer in colour to L’Artisan Olivastre?
Here are some of my olive green inks, as comparisons. I think Monteverde Olivine would be a close match too, but my bottle is still in Aus so I couldn’t include it this time. I’m looking forward to adding Edelstein Olivine.

Thank you Migo, very useful comparison sheet.
I will probably get both, for the sake of collecting, you know, I’m addicted.:help::crazy_pilot:
