Wrong clip on this Vacumatic?
I bought this vac at the Dallas Pen Show, and while it writes great, I think the clip is too small. The stamp is too hard to photograph, but I can make out a small 5 to the right of “MADE IN USA.” I have attached some pictures.

Wrong clip.
Should be a Vac blue diamond clip.
Re: Wrong clip on this Vacumatic?
The pen in the ad shown is not the same as the OPs pen. Close but not the same.
Re: Wrong clip on this Vacumatic?
It's nice to know the accurate details about these pens. Trying to learn some things about these. Thanks, Farmboy.
Re: Wrong clip on this Vacumatic?
Really appreciate everyone’s help. That’s what I love about pen communities. The next task is for me to find the right clip to put this old boy back together again.

Check with fivestarpens.com. If that fails I’ll ask around.
Figure a nice clip is ~20
The pen in the ad will be a double jewel pen with a speedline filler from 1940.
Your pen is a later model SJ lifetime pen made in 1945. Your pen will not have a two tone nib as shown in the ad.
Re: Wrong clip on this Vacumatic?
Fivestarpens was exactly the place to go. I just purchased a clip from Robert and will post a picture once everything’s put back together again!

Fivestarpens delivered beautifully. There’s just something fantastic and complete about getting the rights parts together. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...75ecdb78e7.jpg
