Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.
I don't draw so art blogs fascinate me, particularly the ones by fountain pen users or artists who use fountain pens & inks, among them:
http://www.gentianosman.com/
http://hudsonvalleysketches.blogspot.com/
I think one of my favorite FP blogs is http://inkophile.wordpress.com. Her link list is overwhelming but useful.

LOL I have only one: http://www.fountainpenhospital.com/
I get updates of their special sales which I'm addicted to. I like to look more than anything, and covet. And keep asking myself, How much am I willing to spend/can afford to spend on a fountain pen? And just how many do I actually NEED?
I'm learning about other sites from all of you! Which is one of the reasons I'm here. :)

Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.

NEED??? If you are looking for reasons to need, you are in the wrong place! None of us really need. It's a matter of WANT!

I do need them. Pens = Happiness. Their pursuit is an unalienable right.

Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.
The blogs of Leigh Reyes' and Peaceable Writer are also worth a gander. They can be easily found with a googling.

For me, Lady Dandelion has been responsible for more acquisitions than any other. I love her approach and sensibility: http://ladydandelion.net

Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.
Let's hope this will become a great resource thread.
A few places that I visit for purchases or simply to kill time :spider: (in no particular order):
- La Couronne du Comte (I love shopping duty free and for over 150 euro, it's free shipping too!);
- The Writing Desk and Cult Pens (two other UK retailers that offer competitive prices on selected models, especailly after deducting VAT. Reasonable worldwide shipping charges);
- Nibs.com for Nakaya beauty (When will I be able to afford one? :cry:) and other Japanese pens;
- www.engeika.com for other Japanese pens;
- www.gopens.com for vintage eye candies;
- GregMinuskin.com for vintage flex and custom stubs at great prices;
- Penboard, when I have Montblanc or Pelikan cravings;
- eBay;
the list goes on...

Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.
I did not see http://thesebeautifulpens.blogspot.nl by Miss Elderberry. Does not post very often but regularly and like Dandelion she is very good with her camera. Has a soft spot for Japanese pens, broad nibs (yes, they go together) and nice papers.

Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.
Is there any european or UK (yes, I'm aware of the contradiction) retailers that do ink sampling like the Goulets and such? That would be great.

Good to hear! I love how you find interesting pens that nobody else seems to cover or even know of, and then give great information and reviews on them. Keep it up.

+1 I love how the pens are compared or described not only on their technical merits (which is done thoroughly and well) but how you often talk about the history -- where they fit into the market, what they were competing with or replacing, what would replace them, what needs they were responding to, technical restraints, etc.
Excellent job. I always look forward to your posts.

Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.
The following pen related sites have been Bookmarked on my computer:
--nibs.com for Sailor (also other Japanese) pens, books, some ink & the information pages
--Goulet Pens for ink & accessories
--Stylus. ca (Edmonton AB) for Japanese Apica notebooks
--Pendemonium for large blotter sheets
--Edison pen Co. to window-shop for my next custom pen
--Richard's Pens to consult the Reference Pages
--Google Custom Search research FPN threads re: pens, ink, paper, plastics, etc......
--Laywine's (Toronto) ink, paper, organizers, desk accessories & pens.
Sorry, I have not yet learned how to attach a "link" to e-mail or post.
Cheers: Tintak

Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.
Not a pen website per se, but I did make a shortened url of a google search of kickstarter for the various pen projects that appear there, since (currently, at least) the ks search feature is lacking, imo: http://j.mp/Pens_ks
Also? It's now just a site for information (since Mike Scherer's stopped making them), but the site for my BOMAPen D6 model #3 - http://www.inklingpen.com

Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.
I only buy ink and paper from one place,
1) Gouletspens.com
As for pens, I buy from
1) ebay.com
2) pentime.com
3) Penboard.de
4) vintagewatermanpens.co/uk
5) gouletpens.com
6) the classifieds section on fountainpennetwork.com

Re: List Your Favorite Pen or Ink Websites.
I'm going to add a shameless plug here and say PenPaperInkLetter.com!
Attachment 7875
I've put a lot into it and I am proud of what it has become in a short time.
