Letterwriting paper/envelope help, if possible

Hello, my informed friends. I have a quandary.
I am trying to write some letters in a format around A5 so I don't have to fold the sheet.
I bought the Tomoe paper sheets, but as much as they take ink well, they feel like toilet paper, and I would never send them to anyone.

What is a good paper/envelope, cream colored paper solution?
The requirements are:
• Cream colored
• I will write only one side (so show through is not a problem)
• Around A5, if I can find a backed envelope to fit the sheets
• Substantial weight (the 56gr of the Tomoe just won't do)
• Available in the USA without too much hassle or wait longer than a week

Does the paper have to be smooth like Tomoe River? if not, the "ORIGINAL CROWN MILL CLASSIC LAID A5 TABLET - CREAM" paper is nice. It is a bit toothy but it is fun to write on. I need to get myself another pad as I have been out of it for some time.

Tomoe River paper is excellent when you have a weight restriction for shipping as it's as light as airmail paper. If it takes ink well, and you're only writing on one side, you may as well at least use it up until it's gone. Try to ensure you write on the smoother side if there is a difference between the two sides.

Have a look on Amazon.com for some nice writing paper. Try Clairefontaine, Midori or Apica as brand names.

Can you get Basildon Bond paper in the US? It's superb.

Check your local Veritiv/ XPDX. There look to be several in your area. Not only will you be able to find matching stock, you'll have access to paper experts who can help you find exactly what you need.

Although I have never felt insulted to receive a letter written on TRP. ;) .....Rhodia's cream color paper is very nice.

Strathmore writing paper is cream color and fairly heavy. It's not as smooth as rhodia, but it handles FP ink quite well.

I find it at hobby lobby. It's a tiny bit larger than A5, but it's in the ballpark.

I like cream Rhodia - the Rhodia Color pads.

I used a lot of Basildon Bond cream/champagne pads about 20-30 years ago.

G. Lalo's Vergé de France is my favorite, which has matching lined envelopes, too. They also offer it in white.

How about using the Tomoe but mounting it so it is more tactile?
