beautiful pen. I like the removable pointy butt with optional payload.
I love the beautiful colour of the celluloid and the exceptionally smooth lines and overall sophisticated look of the pen. For me the pointy end might be a tad too pointy and I would probably prefer to not use the optional payload. Now about that price tag......oooh!
Oh, boy, just sell me a rod of that celluloid and I'll have a good bespoke maker put together a pen for me. Flat top and pointed bottom are a real clunker to my eye, and the shot of it posted made me wonder if anyone would ever try. Well, to each their own, but gosh that stuff is beautiful pen material.
I just looked again and saw the picture of it posted. Definitely doesn't look right or even stable.
The celluloid looks similar to my Stipula. A bit darker than the Aurora that I also have in a similar shade.

Maybe I missed it, but what's the purpose of the little brass piece and the removable blind cap / finial?
It would seem to me that it is an additional weight for back balance: insert weight, thread tailpiece back on. I'm guessing that in part because the pen looks like it would be hideously back-weighted if you tried to post it, but it might feel a little light with just the barrel? Such an odd shape, I wish the material had come in a very classic pen.

As an owner of several Deltas, I was excited to hear of their comeback. The pen itself is interesting in design - something a bit novel with the weighted end. But the celluloid just doesn't really inspire me to spend that much money.
It seems I’m not alone in my first reactions! I love the material (my first thought was “leftover Enrico Caruso?”) I even think the optional weight was a cool idea. The design and price both leave me cold and disappointed. The pen looks like they took the cap and barrel from two different prototypes and joined them.
I’m a big Delta fan. I’ve been looking forward to this. In my opinion, Delta went wrong originally with increasingly odd designs that they wanted more and more money for. Now, they return with an even weirder design at even higher prices.
Follow the link in the OP. After the photos of the pen, you will see a long bunch of text, and partway through are a couple paragraphs that explain the concept and implementation of this weight system. FWIW, of course. (I would copy/paste but the text stuff are actually images, not html text, sorry)
Delta’s already been there and done that!😋 Let’s not forget the Scrigno!

I love it. Thanks for sharing those pictures with us. I always use a Fountain pen because I love them as compared to a ball or gell pen. I used to write my essay assignments with Fountain pen but after finding essay writing service reviews, I don't have to write my essay assignments because I can easily take help from an essay writer.
Gorgeous. But loopy looking when posted—who’d want to scratch up the celluloid doing that?
