Perhaps Montblanc's most iconic pen, this 18 karat 750 solid gold pinstriped Solitaire is a timeless classic without peer. Indeed, this celebrated masterpiece may aptly be described as the gold standard of pens. Its massy heft and hypnotic lustre give this fine instrument unrivalled status.
This is basically one of the very first Meisterstück Solitaire Gold MB 149 made in house by Montblanc Factory in Hamburg in late 1980s - beginning 1990s.
Diplomat-sized 18K Montblanc 750 gold two-tone 4810 nib, old-style cap ring imprinted "MONTBLANC", domed captop with inset star emblem. Piston-filler, metal clip (Germany - Metal), striped ink window section, cap and captop marked 750.
The pen is in near mint condition, probably never inked. It comes with a period correct Montblanc solitaire display box, outer box and paper.
