Elliott Erwitt offers inspiration for photographers
Silence Sounds Good, the documentary about photographer Elliott Erwitt who still works with black and white film, is available on demand from Vimeo. $9.99 to rent this inspiring film about a remarkable man who is a great photographer.
At 55 seconds, again at 12 minutes 20 seconds, and again about 14 minutes into the film, you can see a Montblanc 149 (?) pen in a desk holder.
Enjoy, and happy snaps.
Re: Elliott Erwitt offers inspiration for photographers
Thanks for the information. Sadly it says it's not available to watch in my region but I'm trying to work something out. :)
Re: Elliott Erwitt offers inspiration for photographers
It's available on Amazon Prime Video, hope that's also good in the UK.
Found another link, unknown if it's really "free" though.
I'd like to see it become available on Apple TV.

I already looked on Amazon UK. Nothing comes up. :(

Just tweeted at AmazonUK, and suggested it to Netflix. Am optimistic ...
Re: Elliott Erwitt offers inspiration for photographers
I saw this documentary twice, and I could look at it more. Elliott Erwitt is the photographer that aroused my passion for black and white pictures. His way of showing the ironic and absurd moments in people's daily lives, made me love photography even more. As a photographer beginner, he truly inspires my work. Lately, I have been making nature shoots in different locations I've rented from www.aperfectspace.com. I still have some work to do and some improvements in my career, but I am happy I found this passion!

I've managed to watch their trailer. Saw plenty of excellent photographs and some pens. Good :)

Thank you so much for the detailed description!

Another beautiful movie was Finding Vivian Maier.
A documentary on the late Vivian Maier, a nanny whose previously unknown cache of 100,000 photographs earned her a posthumous reputation as one of the most accomplished street photographers.

When I heard about that, the only way to see it was for me to buy the DVD. I've watched it several times. Of course, now it's streamed.

It's great to hear about the documentary "Silence Sounds Good" featuring Elliott Erwitt, a renowned photographer still working with black and white film. Unfortunately, I don't have real-time access to external content, so I can't watch or review specific scenes in the documentary.
However, it's fascinating to learn about the presence of a Montblanc 149 pen in the film. Montblanc is known for its luxury pens, and the 149 is a classic and iconic model. The inclusion of such details adds an extra layer to the visual narrative and showcases the photographer's personal preferences.
For those interested in photography, the documentary seems like a valuable and inspiring watch. Enjoy the film and the insights it provides into the life and work of Elliott Erwitt!

Oh dear ^^^^^ Filip7 outed himself as a spammer again by adding a link into BlkWhiteFilmPix's post in the hope someone might requite it. Reported
