What are your FP interests? I am also interested in reviving my letter writing ,and of course, using a fountain pen.
Re: New from US/Tennessee
I'm in Clarksville. I have written with the cheaper FP for many years, but have really gotten interested in higher quality FPs. I like Monte Verde, TWSBI, and pretty much any other pen I can get for relatively cheap. I write all the time (I'm a teacher) and am constantly looking for quality pens and inks.

I've always sought the best fine tip and had been using the Pilot V5 since a friend gave me one. Not a teacher, but like you, I write daily, but mostly referral source thank you notes. Letter writing to family members is a recent interest.
Like you, the TSWSBI is of interest. There is a clear model with string action pump. Is this similar to what you use? If so, what I expect? For daily use I have a Lamy Al Star with a fine nib.
Thank you for being a teacher, BTW. Do your students admire your pens?

Welcome, you’re well on your way to geekdom!
Re: New from US/Tennessee
If you’re in the knoxville area, we have a group that meets up usually once a month or so to talk and play with pens and ink. Fountain Pen Users of East Tennessee on Facebook is usually where we organize everything.

I used to have friends and family in Tennessee. My sister, who just recently passed away, lived near Nashville, and a great friend who has also passed away not that long ago taught medieval studies at UTK.
My first restoration of a fountain pen was an Esterbrook J also!
Welcome to FPG, and be sure to post photos. We love photos. If you don't have any pens that you feel are sufficiently photogenic, you can always post pictures of the Great Smoky Mountains!
