Lunchtime ink reviews! I'm taking one ink to work each day and doing one of these during my lunch.
Parker Quink Black, dip test with TWSBI Eco 1.1mm stub, on Rhodia dotpad.

Noticeably dry, this one, and it reached grey quite quickly. I did like it for the sketch - sometimes dry can be useful.
The water did have a reddish tint, but that isn't evident in the ink.
My M-nibbed Parker 51 absolutely loves this ink!!!
This is one of my top 3 go to inks and it works in a lot of my pens. Thanks for the review.
It flows less than Take-sumi but quite a bit more than Pelikan. My Esterbrooks, Parkers (duofold, 45, 51), and a few other 40s pens seem to work well with it. It is a bit too runny in my Lucky Curve and didn't seem to like my Skyline quite so much, either.
It is also less prone to feathering vs Take-sumi. And it resists totally washing away under water. Dries relatively quickly even when put down by a wet nib.
Definitely on the non-saturated end of the spectrum and is more like a gray or charcoal. Shades nicely.
And of course the price is right.
This is one of my go to inks, but I do notice its on the dry side. It even allows for more paper feedback oddly enough. Switched over to Diamine Oxblood today and it seems to lubricate better
water resistance or proofness?

It resists water spills. If you drip water on it or even hold the page under running water briefly, it leaves a faint, gray trace of the original lines, so you won't lose what you wrote.
Thanks for the review. I wonder if you have compared it to another dry, reliable and not too black ink, the Pelikan 4001.
