A plunger fill version would indeed be an interesting one! The ebonized pearl models are among my top favorite pens, visually and functionally.
Re: A funny little Sheaffer
I also am a fan of this model....I have several versions of the ebonized pearl barrel including a plunger filler has the helix striations.....very cool!!
Re: A funny little Sheaffer
I just saw you mention this on reddit. :)
Re: A funny little Sheaffer
I have two of them and love them. One or the other is usually inked. Perhaps I should sell one...

Note that the model shown was not offered in a plunger fill version.

Daniel,
Which “ebonized pearl” Balance models were offered with Vac-Fill, and over what years?
Thanks.
All lever-filler models that were offered in Ebonized Pearl were also available in a Vac-Fil version except for the short standard-girth pen. Different models appeared at different times; Vac-Fil pens in general appeared mid-'34, and Ebonized Pearl Vac-Fil pens were probably available by late '34 or mid-'35 at the latest.
