My Montblanc 344 de Espaņa
My unusual MB 344 that Montblanc manufactured in Spain is featured on Sia's Vintage Montblanc website. The 344 is from my mini-collection of ray-celluloid pens. Check it out here: https://www.vintagemontblancpens.com...4-grey-chevron
Sia continues to post images and facts about other unusual Montblanc pens. Be sure to read his interview of Francis Goossens.

That is super cool, Fred.
I was following that wonderful website and was wondering why there isn't any 344, and now it does!
A little part of me wished that you'd be acknowledged as an active member of FPGeeks also, not just FPN :)

I don't think Sia plays in our Geeky sandbox, but I sent him the link to this thread. I am hardly active on FPN these days, but that was Sia's way to ID me.

Not to worry my friend, the edit has been made :) And, thanks to Fred and this post I realized that I should be sharing my website with the FP Geeks community too (I have been a member but not so active here, but that is about to change).
best,
Sia

Congratulations Fred.
Thanks Zisi for this great site. Very instructive.
I don't like modern MB, but like vintage, with a preference for the 2xx and 3xx.

Those ray celluloda are truly stunning. To get it on a prestige brand like Montblanc or Soennecken is just icing on the cake.

Yes, but I also have a lowly Wearever made of the same stuff. One day I hope to learn how the pattern was created (a trade secret?) and which company(ies) supplied it to the various pen manufacturers in Europe and North America.

I have the same pattern in 2 Verelyte pens. I'll post pictures when I get home...very nice to see them when there's no wear to the color.
