New pen, the TWSBI Mini...

I like the Kensington Blue ink, it gives the sketch a rural feel.
This week, I decided to do the same sketch as the last one, because I didn't like the proportion of the car.
So here we go... they say incremental improvements are better than no improvement at all, right?

You are right. This car is much better.
Well done.
You are welcome, de rien.
Okay, the sketch for this week is inspired by a lovely barn that I saw last week when we went on a cabin trip in East Texas...

Who would have thought that the old Estie is such a nice pen to sketch with.
The 9556 Firm Fine nib is a nail, but what a charming nail it is.
I'm also happy with the dark-chocolate color of the ink mix (my first, yay!).
Very cool!
My first new sketch in ages, done with a Platinum 3776 Bourgogne (M) and a mix of Platinum Black, JH Rouge Caroubier, and MB Corn Poppy.

New work, crazy ink mix (a stately dark red), and a nice single subject sketch (I've yet to attempt that).
Cool!
I just realize that with fountain pens, we get to sketch using unique colors from mixing inks. How liberating is that?
Three different subjects, three different pens 'n' inks. I could get used to this.

Oro, You beat me to it, SK ... :)
Nice sketches too!
This week, to celebrate The Fall season, the inspiration is an old farm truck decorated for the pumpkin patch.

Happy Fall (Autumn) !!
That's a good one, penwash. Perfect color for it, too!

Which reminds me, I have to visit the closest one I have in Fort-Worth, which is beautiful especially in the Fall.

Migo,
Beautiful sketch.
How is it done? Pen and brush?
And thanks for introducing me to Roberson's Penman Classical, that's a fascinating ink brand that I've never heard before.
Thank you. That's especially nice to hear coming from you - I admire your sketches very much.
Yes - I did the sketch with the Custom 92 fountain pen then colour washes with diluted Kiri-Same and Obsidian Brown, applied using a refillable water brush.
Roberson's inks are unusual. Sometimes you read that they are for dip pens and calligraphy, but they are water soluble and lots of people use them in FPs. I've used them many times with no problems whatsoever. They are very "light" inks, generally unsaturated, available in traditional colours, and are quite low cost too. Great for sketching and washes.
I did a cup, too, lol.
Here are two of my obssessions: coffee cups (this one is a classic Pfaltzgraff Gourmet, or Brown Drip Glaze)...which I rendered with a Wing Sung, in a failed attempt at the now-unavailable Pelikan Khaki ink.
And yes. Pencil lines.
