I saw your thread on fpn and showed these photos of my Pilot Super 250L, ca. 1956.

I love the nib on this pen -- behaves similarly to an FA. The pen itself has been improved (hehe!) with a fixed converter replacing the sac.

I'd say that's more of a hooded nib, similar to a Parker 45, rather than an 'inset' or 'inlaid' nib.

Though Pilot did do an actual inlaid nib with the Super Ultra 500 (ala Sheaffer Imperial style).

Hello there!

I am kinda newcomer to vintage pens and ended up getting a pen that probably belongs tho this series.

What is certain is that it has the same style converter for which I can not find any instructions to use. Could you help me with a hint? Does one just press the button as with the newer con 70? What is the collapsed position of the switch for?

I just acquired an E super 200 with this converter. Since you wrote this 10 mos ago, you likely have learned more than I can tell you, but not knowing much never shut me up before. This converter has a "J bar" inside like a lever filler. The little lever on the end of the converter compresses the "J bar" and sac when you tip it to the side 90 degrees. My sac is super crunchy, and while I've replaced sacs before, there's not a lot of working room inside the converter. I may look for somebody smarter to do it for me.
If you've learned more I'd be interested to hear it.
