UPC # 070972748446)
The Tops cards are a little better than the Roaring Spring in terms of feathering, but they both behave well.
Where have you found these cards?
I found both listed on Amazon. Also a separate web site for Roaring Spring
http://www.rspaperproducts.com/productsO/index-cards but not for Top.
On second look neither of these exact products are listed on Amazon or the Roaring Spring site. Sorry for the confusion.
Re: Fountain pen friendly note cards?
Do you need lines (rules) on your cards? If not, then one other possibility is that you could make your own.
We have been protoyping a line of fountain pen-friendly monogrammed note cards, and have found that 80# cover Strathmore "Writing" wove is the right weight for note cards, and is great for fountain pen use. (We use the same line, in a slightly heavier weight, for our greeting cards.) It comes in regular 8½" x 11", but it is quite easily cut up into 3" x 5" size. Any paper supplier that carries Nenagh products should be able to get it for you.
You can see some of our write-testing photos on Strathmore "Writing" here: http://sevanti-letterpress.com/faqs/#3

Levenger cards seem to do okay, and they come in blank, ruled, and grid. Expensive, though, I THINK.

Unless they have changed their paper, I have had major feathering issues with Levenger cards. The one I have are a couple of years old. So they may have new paper.
Re: Fountain pen friendly note cards?
The ones I have are far older than a couple of years, so we could both be right, lol.

Indeed!

I bought the Tops cards at Target, but I think they've switched to a house brand. The Roaring Spring cards are from a local university book store. I've read that Roaring Spring is a common brand around campuses.
