So striping and cleaning I find the cap has been matched as the pen is made in England and the cap in Canada

It looks a great deal like a 52, but that should have been marked on the barrel end.

Interesting. Something different about it. Missing lever box and lever is very generic. Looks like the cap and barrel are mismatched. Clean it up and use it as a daily writer....

Im going with franken pen as well, the barrel screams Stevens (English brand) to me. Regardless, i've known many a franken pen that were amazing writers. If it's in service, use and love it all you can.

The barrel is Waterman. Most (maybe all) English-made Watermans in the pre-war period don't have numbers on the barrel end. It's the English equivalent of the 52.
