Sailor Pro Gear Sakura Nagare

A rare special Sailor edition. In 2010 the Japanese government commissioned a Sailor special gift set to honor living WW II veterans. These pens were were made on request with no charge as a gift by the Prime minister of Japan.
The maki design with cherry blossom, pearl and gold stream symbolize the stream of life. This pen is illustrated on page 359 in "Fountain Pens of Japan" by Lambrou & Sunami.
This impressive pen is an exceptionally good, wet writer with a very special nib.

This pen was never offered in public sale. It came originally with a wooden box and special ink-bottle, but these have been retained by the recipient. Only the pen is available.

Please note, this is a fabulous wet writer with an extraordinary special nib. Smaller than the nib in LB5, sure, but in every way just as good and made by the same people!
