Hi this is my first post (new member).
I want to know your opinion/suggestion regarding Montblanc Gold-Coated & Platinum-Coated 146.
Two weeks ago I purchased my second Montblanc Fountain pen the MB LeGrand 146 in Gold-Coated. But i am thinking to change it to a Platinum-Coated because i still have two weeks remaining for return/exchange.
Do you prefer Gold-Coated or Platinum-Coated for MB 146?

It's an entirely personal choice between the look of gold-plated accents or platinum-plated accents. If you looked at them both side by side you would be able to choose which you like the best.
Some users like their own black pens to have gold clips and nibs, while some prefer them to look more like silver/platinum. It's similar to choosing the colour of your wedding band: gold, white gold or platinum. Whichever you like the look of personally.
For many years the Montblanc 149 was only available with gold trim, so if you wanted your 146 and 149 black Montblanc pens to match, you would have had to choose gold.

I use to like the platinum and thought it looks so much cleaner but at the same time it doesn't look like a MB if it's not gold. The gold is much more iconic and it's what I picture in my head when I think MB.
